How to begin your smile journey

Your Smile Starts With a Free Consultation

Our greatest goal at Gardner Orthodontics is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile that you’ve always wanted, and your first step is to talk to Dr. Gardner at your free consultation exam. Choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Your first free consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs.

The First Visit – What to expect.

The orthodontic treatment process involves a series of orthodontic visits. In the first visit we’ll review your dental and medical history, do an oral exam (including X-rays), and discuss your goals, options, and what to expect during treatment. Once you feel like we’ve answered all of your questions and concerns, then we’ll create a personalized plan and schedule an appointment to begin the process. We’ll also go over financial and insurance details and answer any questions you may have.

The Next Visit – Let’s straighten this out together.

At the next visit we’ll begin your teeth-straightening treatment. Dr. Gardner will install your new orthodontic appliance and explain how to care for your teeth while you’re wearing it. (Plan on about an hour for this appointment.)

After that, you’ll continue to see the orthodontist every one to two months. If you need to reschedule an appointment (or are running late for one), please let us know and we’ll do whatever we can to accommodate you.

During your treatment, be sure to keep up your regular visits to the family dentist for teeth cleaning and checkups. We’ll be happy to coordinate with your dentist if extra dental care is needed.
